[Video] 76-year-old ex-US VP Joe Biden launches 2020 election bid

Former United States VP Joe Biden launched his 2020 presidential election bid on Thursday, 25 April 2019

Biden, 76 joins a crowded Democratic primary election with 19 other candidates including Senators Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders.

The six-term senator ran twice unsuccessfully for president in 1988 and 2008 and later served as President Barack Obama’s deputy for two terms.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1942, Biden was elected to represent Delaware in the US Senate at the age of 29 where he served for 36 years.
